A Letter for the Give Love 2009 event

Dear Friends,

Christmas season is just lurking around the corner and what better way to celebrate Christmas but to share our blessings to others, right? Isn’t it so great to give back and give love?

If you are looking for a venue to express your generosity, we are more than delighted to invite you to join our “Give Love 2009” outreach project that we, the Jologs, are organizing. This is the second year that we are doing it and for this year, we opted to “Adopt a Child. Adopt a Tree.” We are planning to adopt street kids for a day and bring them to La Mesa Eco Park for a fun-filled day entwined with activities on environmental awareness. Now is the time to do something to save the planet, don’t you agree? Further, we also intend to adopt a tree in La Mesa Eco Park, with the hope that this very small initiative of adopting a tree will contribute in the gigantic goal of saving the Earth.

DATE: December 12, 2009, 9am - 3pm

Any donation/contribution that you would like to share is very much welcome. You can opt to share:

1) TIME – Volunteer on Dec 12 and adopt a kid. Extra pair of hands will surely be useful for us in looking after the kids and taking care of the logistics. However, if you volunteer, you will have to shoulder your entrance fee (PhP 50), transportation and food (we will make the necessary arrangements for the food of everyone who will be present on that day but we will ask for contribution for this)

2) MONEY – Any amount that you would like to give will go a long way in helping the kids and the environment. But if you donate at least PhP1,000, we will give you a free shirt (mind you, this is a nicely designed shirt). 3) TOYS, CLOTHES, SLIPPERS, SCHOOL SUPPLIES, ETC. – Be creative and resourceful on anything that you think will be useful for the kids. We would gladly bring them to the kids.

4) ALL OF THE ABOVE – I don’t want to put a limit to your generosity, so feel free to help us in any ways you can. I’m sure this will put a huge grin on kids’ faces.
